50 Engineers of Engineers' Forum, Nagpur joined the technical visit to KTPS Koradi. 64 Engineers have expressed willingness for the visit. So a 50 seater bus and a tavera was arranged which left IWWA on Sunday i.e. 3-2-2013 at 9:30 a.m. The team was welcomed by MSPGCL Engineers at Koradi Training Centre.

Breakfast & Tea was served to all. Power point presentation was given by Er. R. K. Jain of Gen. Project, about the working at 660X3 MW Project, specially about super critical boilers. Er. Ganoje & Er. Gawande took the team to Model room & explained the working of 210 M TPS by Semi working Models, which was very much liked by the team.

The team was divided into 4 Groups and taken to 660 MW Site. Shri Jain explained the Boiler side, the turbine side was explained by Engineers from L&T. The hyperbolic cooling tower, chimny, ESP etc. were explained by Er. P. G. Naphade, Er. Somkuwar and Lanco Engineers.

The Same was appreciated by all Engineers. The team has Lunch at Training Centre arranged by MSPGCL.

The team then visited 210 MW unit 5 & 6. The coal handling plant was visited and actual wagon tipling was seen by the team. The Coal Bunker, Coal Feeders, Coal Mills, Coal Burners etc. were shown. There were coal leakages but team was enthusiastic to visit the same.

The turbine side, HP & L P heater, Feed pump, the turbine & Generater were shown. The team visited the control room of unit 5, which is the heart of all operation. Er. Gawande, Er. Ganoje & Er. Saoji explained the same to the team in simple but effective manner.

The team went back to Training Centre where Tea & Biscuits were served to all. The team thanked KTC & MSPGCL Engineers for the excellent Knowledgeable visit and returned to Nagpur.
