64 Engineers consented to above visit arranged by Engineers’ Forum, Nagpur. However only 50 engineers visited. 2 Testing Engineers’ joined at Site. There were 5 engineers from SMS including Er. B. P. Banhate and Er. S. D. Katyarmal and Er.ArunPatil.
A 50 seater Bus and Tavera vehicle was arranged for 64 Engineers. The vehicle left IWWA at 2.15 p.m. Drinking water and cold drinks were arranged for the engineers. The team reached RBC of Parsheoni by 4.00 p.m. and welcomed by SMS Engineers team. Frooti was served and introduction given by Er. Barhate / Er. Patil of SMS. Flowers were offered to S. D. Shinde / S. L. Kholapurkar / B. P. Barhate and also to Er. S. D. Katyarmal who has now joined SMS.
Er. V. A. Sonatakke of IBM was wished Happy Birthday by all. - 3 Groups were formed and visit to running (2 x 700 KW) hydro PS, its control room, Metering panel, the LBC, 2.2 x 2 MW hydro PS Construction, and Dam was shown and explained to visiting team. Er. ArunPatil, Er. Barhate explained details and answered to the querries from members. The team enjoyed the visit and gained knowledge.
The team again assembled and each one was introduced to all. Breakfast packets and tea was served. President thanked the SMS team for very useful visit. The Bus / Tavera left at 6.30 p.m. for Nagpur.
